$40000.00 1950 Oldsmobile Rocket 88 1950 Oldsmobile 88 Deluxe Club Coupe with 1955 324 V-8 and 1955 Dual Range Hydramatic transmission. It has a 4-barrel carburetor and twin exhaust pipes. A set of 1955 Olds Fiesta spinner hubcaps with Coker Classic wide whitewall tires add to its iconic 1950s appearance. Color is original Crest Blue with the interior reupholstered in original-style fabric and patterns. The electrical system has been converted to 12 volts and an alternator has been added to supply additional power for the aftermarket air conditioner and electric radiator fan. The original AM radio has been repaired and works well, as does the original clock. An AM/FM CD radio is also installed in the glove box. It has an auxiliary electric fuel pump, electric wipers, and matching rear fender skirts. This Olds always gets thumbs up while driving and great comments when parked. It has won awards at local car shows and once won "Best in Show." Recently won "Best in Class" at a local indoor Rod & Custom Show. Walk Around Video Interior Video Engine Video Driving Video Paint and Exterior: The Olds was painted over 20 years ago with minor touch-up work completed recently. It has always been garaged, so the paint has held up very well. The chrome is in very nice condition, with some pieces restored recently. All trim and emblems are original and in excellent condition. It also has original backup lights in the taillight housings. Upholstery and Interior The interior was reupholstered approximately 10 years ago using original-style fabric and patterns. Three sets of seat belts have been installed in the front seat. Engine Original Engine: No The 1955 engine and transmission were rebuilt approximately 5,000 miles ago. The block was bored .030". An original 4-barrel intake manifold was installed along with a Rochester 4-Jet carburetor. The oil bath air cleaner was replaced with a Cadillac-style batwing air cleaner. Wheels and Tires Coker Classic wide whitewall tires, size P225/75R15, mounted on original wheels with 1955 Olds Fiesta spinner hubcaps. A set of original 1950 hubcaps is also included. Brakes The brake system is original, and the master cylinder was replaced two months ago. Transmission 1955 Dual Range 4-speed slant-pan Hydramatic transmission, rebuilt approximately 7 years ago.
