It was given to grandson who started to make a street rod. The body and frame was in almost mint condition. It had some dents, but no rust. Was stored in an old wooden shed. Engine and trans rear end was gone. It had an old straight axle and an old GM rear end. It had all the old seats and knobs and dash. I took the body off, epoxy and primed the body. I had to do almost no bodywork. I boxed the frame, put in a Cobra Mustang II front and complete. Installed a 1970 Nova Chevy rear end - 2:73 gears. The engine is a 1995 Chevy Vortex 350 rebuilt to stock. The trans is a 350 turbo hydro rebuilt by a man in Denver who did racing trans. The 350 engine has an edeleback manifold and a holly 5 50 CFM carb. The shifter is a Lo Car auto shifter. Chevy tilt steering column. VDO gauges with elect speedo. The gas tank is approx 16 gal. The interior was done by a man in Commerce City, Colorado who does only street rods and Harleys. The top is the material used on Mercedes cars. I did not use original gauges because amps only went to 30 and temp was a thermometer in the radiator. Oil gauge only went to 30 psi. Car has all original knobs and handles, door locks and window registers. The body had wood slats and chicken wire on roof covered with canvas. The roof is now 3/4 plywood with fiberglass referafacement. Floor is 3/4 plywood also. Firewall is 1/4 aluminum. It unbolts under floor mats to remove hump and pull valve covers and dist. Just unhook throttle. Front seats are from a 1980 Subaru. Radiator is 1 1/2 with original top and bottom on a Mustang core. Radiator shop in Denver built it. Mustang front has new roaders and bearing ball joints pattern is same as rear, Chevy. Engine has headman street rod headers. Elect fan has fan control relay on passenger side by radiator. Battery is under rear seat. Battery shutoff is under passenger seat front. Under dash on left is wiper switch. Heater blower switch is under dash on left side, also hot water control is under dash on side of heater brass barrel pull. Wiring is a Jay's elect panel.
