$96000.00 1948 Chevrolet Convertible This is a one of a kind 1948 Chevrolet Convertible with a 1941 Chevrolet custom front end. This car was built from the bottom up that was an original. Pictures show it. This beauty has only 640 miles on it. This car has not been driven in several years as I have brain cancer and cannot drive it. Car is completely done and ready to drive with a new owner. Many misc. extra parts to go with the car. There are 37 body modifications done correctly. It is chopped, channeled correctly, 2.5 inches in front and 3 inches in back. Engine is a 268 cubic inch Chevy 6 with a '63 3 speed overdrive. Originally, it was a 261 that was bored over to a 268 short block, balanced, ported, professionally done. The head is a high compression 235, bigger valves, milled and runs great. Intake manifold was ground down with no extra ports and the intakes were raised 1" for the carbs, Holly, that are from a '68 Ford. Has a 9 inch rear end with 370 posi gears. Firewall forward is a '41. Front and rear both have air-ride suspension. It is set up so it is an inch off the ground when lowered. You can raise up to 8 inches. It has '49 Plymouth bumpers, front and rear. Has a '55 Chevy dash with no radio. It does have heat and air. Seats are 4 buckets that I personally custom made.
