Brief history: Information verbally shared by the late James (Jimmy) Pflueger prior to his passing. Last hot rod in Jimmy Pflueger’s collection. The engine in this RPU was obtained from the late Mr. Ray Brock, former editor of Hot Rod Magazine and friend and fellow Pike’s Peak competitor. The late Mr. Bob Bauder is credited with this RPU’s construction.

Dan Woods was commissioned years ago to build Jimmy’s 1932 Phaeton and was also Jimmy’s close friend to whom Jimmy gifted his 1932 Ford BB Stake Bed Truck, built by Roy Brizio. Photos on Brizio website.

Roy Brizio also built Jimmy’s 1934 Ford Phaeton and his last 1932 Ford Roadster. Jimmy’s 1932 Ford Roadster was featured in the June 2018 issue of Street Rodder Magazine and was donated to the Peterson Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, CA.

Jimmy Pflueger was closely associated with and personal friends of Dan Woods, Ray Brock, Vic Edelbrock Jr., Roy Brizio, and Mike Henry of H&H flatheads, also amongst other automotive industry notables.

All of Jimmy Pflueger’s hot rods were top notch and all were painted black as is this RPU.
