1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396, 4 Speed

This car will be at the Barrett-Jackson Auction in Scottsdale, Arizona in January 2020. Lot #469.2

Totally restored, about 2014.
Verified SS Chevelle.
Data plate shows Paint #72 Monaco Orange.
This color could only be ordered with the SS 396 package in '69.
Also shows upper paint/vinyl top "B" Black. Interior Color "B" Black Vinyl upholstery.
Look on Ebay, Hemmings and Auto Trader Classic....there are no Chevelle's in Monaco Orange with a matching Data Plate....and there haven't been any for well over a year....They are very hard to find..!! Read the following from the official 1969 website.....

"Two additional body colors, Monaco/Hugger Orange and Daytona Yellow were available only on SS396-optioned Chevelles. Monaco/Hugger Orange carried a trim tag code of 72 and Daytona Yellow was coded 76. Any Chevelle with either of these two codes on the trim tag is a true SS396 Chevelle. These colors were available on ANY 1969 Chevelles but would have to be ordered under the Fleet & Special Order system and would NOT have 72 or 76 on the trim tag but rather a DuPont mixing formula (926-99616 for Monaco/Hugger Orange and 926-99568 or Daytona Yellow) would be shown or simply a dash character (-) indicating a special order paint (RPO ZP3). Both special SS396-only colors were still a $42.15 option." Go to: and verify it....Less than 1.01% of the Chevelle's produced in 1969...left the factory with Monaco Orange.

The 396 has been upgraded to a 454 (non-numbers matching) with hi-rise Edelbrock manifold and 4 barrel carburetor.
